Keiko has fond childhood memories of trips to Rottnest on her family’s launch, and more recently weekend getaways with her husband.
On the island, Keiko loves to wake up with an early morning swim followed by a coffee and breakfast on the island, then body board along side her husband who loves to surf, go diving, or pick up a mooring at one of the secluded bays and just laze and enjoy the view of the island and the sea. Then at night, Keiko loves to watch the curious marine life swim up to the lights of their boat.
While Keiko has always loved Rottnest it took leaving her hometown of Perth and living in the big cities of Tokyo, London and New York to really appreciate what a unique and special place Rottnest is. ‘No city can compete with the natural beauty and pristine waters of Rottnest’, says Keiko. ‘It’s a place, where just by being there, you feel both relaxed and recharged. There’s nothing better than spending the whole day in bikinis and falling asleep with salt in your hair.’
